Remembrance

Lest We Forget

In previous posts you may have come to realize how fiercely proud I am to be a Canadian.

I believe that - no matter what you believe - there is no denying the honour and respect we should give those who have fought for us.  It's not about our beliefs on war itself, but instead it is the celebration of those lives given, so we can live in relative peace here at home.

I am overwhelmed with the emotion I feel towards veterans of yesterday and today. You chose a path for yourself and for our country. For that we THANK YOU.

This postcard was one of a series aimed at the families of Canadian soldiers during the First World War. The 134th Battalion was affiliated with Toronto's 48th Highlanders.
